The exterior of the existing house (shown above left) had its vinyl siding removed to expose painted shingles, which are being patched and painted. An awkward front stair that will be re-built and re-configured.
The floor plan shows how the first floor plan was opened up, reconfigured the front stair, and added three bedrooms to the second floor, which was previously an attic.

Walls were opened up to allow the light in and make the first floor feel bigger. In order to gain space, the original fireplace and chimney will be replaced with a gas fireplace unit.
The house has been opened up from front to back, with a patio off the kitchen and a mudroom side entry.
The second floor has three bedrooms, a full bath, and a study area in the hall.
Construction is due to be complete in October.
