A friend of mine just sent me a video that got me thinking. So I realized that if it got me thinking, perhaps it would get others thinking, too. So that’s why I’m posting it here.
This is a story about a family (in California, of course!) who made it their goal to produce zero waste in their home. Extreme? Maybe. But it is an incredible story that brought to light just how much we can do as individuals to reduce our impact on this beautiful planet, and re-affirmed the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and then as a last resort, Recycle. It also takes a positive look at how beautiful a truly green home (and its toothbrushes) can be. Just wait ’til you see this house! Rather than feeling guilty about all the things I don’t do, It inspired me to think about all the things I can do. Perhaps it will do the same for you. Take a look: The Zero-Waste Home
If that piqued your interest, the Johnson family also has a great blog: http://zerowastehome.blogspot.com/
